Microblading

All PMU services include a consultation, mapping of the brow bone structure to find the perfect shape, and pigment match. Microblading is done with a manual tool that creates small cuts to implant pigment in the skin surface. The result is what looks like natural hairs. Results do vary based on skin type. Due to the shallow implantation of pigment this technique is best with normal to dry skin. After initial visit, and 5/6 week touch up (not included in initial cost), regular maintenance is required every 6 to 12 months based on skin type, and sun exposure. 15 minute free consultation can be scheduled in person, and can also be done by phone. *Online portfolio or the artist can be found on Instagram @_spalife_

Nanoblading

Nanoblading is done with a motorized tool that injects pigment deeper into the surface of the skin. This technique is most beneficial for oily skin types. It also creates less trauma to the skin over time. After initial visit, and 5/6 week touch up (not included in initial cost), maintenance is required every 12 months. This technique is more full coverage and is best for brow corrections. Best results require you to stay out of the sun, no sweat, no hot tubs, saunas, or beach for 7 to 12 days for healing. As well as no water on the brows for 3 days. Healing ointment is included and sent home with the client, as well as healing instructions. 15 minute free consultation can be scheduled in person, and can also be done by phone. *Online portfolio or the artist can be found on Instagram @_spalife_

Lash & Brow Spa in Gainesville, Fl

Lashes and brows play a significant role in expressing a woman’s allure. Therefore, they should also be treated well at a lash and brow spa. Fortunately, these days, thanks to technological advancement in the beauty industry, there are several ways to treat eyebrows and eyelashes to make them look neat and attractive and help you have the brows you desire. Let’s delve into them.

How long do lash extensions last?

How long do lash extensions last? On average, lash extensions last as long as the natural growth cycle because they are attached to the lash itself. They often last between 4 -6 weeks. If you want to extend the life of the lash extensions, you need to comb through them with a soft dry brush gently. You can also use a lash conditioner on your extensions to make them soft and shiny.

What is nanoblading vs microblading?

As already mentioned, there are various methods of lash and brow treatments, with nanoblading and microblading being among them. These two methods can help you achieve the eyebrows you desire. But what exactly are they?

Nanoblading

This semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique uses ultra-sharp nano needles to reshape your eyebrows to give them a fuller, natural look. Nanoblading has gained tremendous popularity over the last few years.

Nanoblading is also a form of cosmetic tattooing done at a lash and brow spa. The only difference is that it is not as deep as a conventional tattoo, as the tattooist will only go through the upper layer of the skin into the upper dermis. The procedure involves using a fine needle and pigmented ink to create hair-like tattoo strokes. The strokes resemble natural hair.

The Nanoblading procedure can hurt, but it depends on your pain threshold. Nanoblading results can last 1-3 years, and the cost varies. The price ranges from $500 to $800. It’s worth mentioning that Nanoblading is a cosmetic procedure, so it is not covered under insurance.

Microblading

Microblading is another technique to help you achieve fuller eyebrows. Like Nanoblading, microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo. The procedure involves using a microblade tool of tiny needles to apply color pigments resembling natural hairs.

The difference between Microblading and Nanoblading is that microblading uses a bigger needle than Nanoblading. Nanoblading results are more precise and accurate because of the smaller needles, which allows for more natural-looking results.

Microblading is an ideal solution for ladies with patchy, thin, or uneven brows who are looking for the most natural results possible. It will take two sessions to complete a new set of microbladed eyebrows. Microblading lasts between 12-18 months. However, the longevity of the pigment generally depends on one’s skin type. People with oily skin will last around 12 months before requiring a top-up, while those with normal skin will last up to 18 months. Microblading hurts, but not as much as Nanoblading. That’s because of the numbing ointment applied. Microblading cost varies, but expect to pay something between $300 to $500 for both sessions.

What is a brow lift?

What is a brow lift? As the name suggests, a brow lift is a cosmetic procedure to raise brows. It is also known as browplasty or a forehead lift. This procedure improves the appearance of the brow, forehead, and area around the eyes.

A brow lift typically involves raising the soft tissue and skin of the brow and forehead. A brow lift is a permanent procedure, meaning the results may last a lifetime. There are several benefits you will enjoy if you get a brow lift. These benefits include:

Raised eyebrows that make you look younger
Improved appearance of your forehead and the entire face
Reduced wrinkles and broody skin from your forehead
While a brow lift will offer you the benefits mentioned above, it also poses certain risks and complications, such as scarring, infection, pain, intense scalp itchiness, etc. However, these minor risks shouldn’t raise the alarm as they will disappear over time. The average brow lift costs about $3,900, but it may vary depending on the doctor, associated costs, etc.
